Surrounded by the beautiful ocean while eating the freshest fish possible. Wow. i hope they didn't have to work after that meal because sake and fishing dont seem like a gd mix. ![]() RE: Travel and food channels on Youtube - k.ng - 04-04-2025 Nice little video of a stall in Toa Payoh that somehow manages to continue selling its base nasi lemak set at $1. Gonna be tough with every cost rising. The best way is if customers who can afford paying more pay them a little more to help out. I think the more able customers can pay a bit more, like with the other Muslim hawker stall that sells everything for $2.50. It's like paying it forward so this stall can afford to keep prices low for the elderly customers. Very sweet video. Like others have said, really not easy to keep costs down especially post-covid. He did mention something about hoping to expand into a franchise, which will be even more difficult to manage. Unfortunately if he does pursue that path, the quality at his original stall will likely be affected, as we have seen with so many stalls. RE: Travel and food channels on Youtube - ScornfulScone - 14-04-2025 $5.90 for a one-round breakfast buffet in Vivo. Value for money, what do you think? Even though it's just breakfast, $5.90 is unbeatable for a meal in a shopping mall. |
